What we collect
When you submit the contact form we receive the name, phone number, email address, town or ZIP, service selection and message you type into it. We also keep a server-side log of submissions so that a mail outage never loses an enquiry. That log is not publicly accessible.
Our web server records standard request information — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time — as almost all web servers do.
What we do with it
We use it to reply to your enquiry, quote the work, and carry it out. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted within twelve months. Records relating to work actually carried out are kept for as long as we may need them for warranty, insurance or tax purposes.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets a session cookie used only to rate-limit form submissions and block automated spam. It contains no personal information and expires when you close your browser.
This site also loads a third-party visitor-analytics script from s.ksrndkehqnwntyxlhgto.com. It runs on every page and reports the page you are viewing, the address you arrived from, and any query string or anchor on the URL. Like most services of this kind it can set its own identifiers in order to recognise a returning visitor across sessions and to link the pages one person viewed into a single visit. It is operated by a third party under its own terms, and we do not control what it collects or how long it keeps it.
If you would rather it did not run, any content or tracker blocker will stop it, as will a browser setting that blocks third-party scripts. Nothing on this site requires it — the pages and the contact form work normally without it.
Third parties
The site is hosted on shared web hosting, and form submissions are delivered by email through that host's mail service. Those providers process the data on our behalf in order to run the site and deliver the messages.
Your choices
Email contact@pittsburghchimneyrepair.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will action a deletion request within thirty days unless we are required to keep the record for tax or insurance reasons, in which case we will say so.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be posted here with a new date at the top.
